Cyprus will participate in the 12th International Architecture Exhibition of the Venice Biennale to be held between August 29 and 21st November 2010, with the support of the Cyprus Ministry of Education and Culture.

This year’s Venice Architecture Biennale will be curated by the internationally-renowned Japanese architect, Kazuyo Sejima, who has chosen the theme for the Exhibition to be «People Meet in Architecture».

The Civil Engineers & Architects Association (CEAA) and the Cyprus Architects Association (CAA) have undertaken to organize the Cypriot participation, in collaboration with the University of Cyprus, the University of Nicosia and the Frederick University Cyprus. Hereby, the organizers would like to extend an open invitation to all interested Architects for Expression of Interest in serving as the Curator of the Cypriot participation.
 

All candidates shall be assessed by a seven member committee, comprising Dr. Vyronas Ioannou, Aimilios Michael, Vera Efthymiou Parlalidou, Dr. Harris Pellapaisiotis, Chrysanthos Pissarides, Dr. Panagiota Pyla and Stefanos Fereos.

The chosen candidate shall, within one month after his/her selection, be required to submit a detailed description of his/her proposal for the Cypriot pavilion including its exhibition theme.
